In a major step towards enhancing citizen convenience and ensuring people receive their rightful money, the Department of Financial Services (DFS) under the Ministry of Finance has launched the 'Common Landing Portal for Unclaimed Financial Assets'. This initiative has been developed in collaboration with the PSB Alliance.

This is a single unified online platform where any citizen can easily search and track their unclaimed bank deposits, insurance claims, shares, dividends, and mutual funds lying within the financial ecosystem.

The portal was officially launched on May 29, 2026, by DFS Secretary M. Nagaraju during a review meeting of Public Sector Banks.

Key Highlights and Portal URL

  • Official Website: Citizens can access this facility by visiting https://www.unclaimedassetsportal.in.

  • "Aapki Poonji, Aapka Adhikar" Campaign: This portal is an integral part of the government’s nationwide campaign, "Aapki Poonji, Aapka Adhikar (Your Money, Your Right)". Its core objective is to raise awareness about unclaimed assets and return them to their rightful owners by collaborating with financial regulators, banks, and other stakeholders.

  • One-Stop Solution: Previously, citizens had to visit multiple banks or financial institutions individually to search for unclaimed funds. Now, this portal consolidates various search features into a single, accessible platform.

A Step Towards Transparency and Citizen Empowerment

The Secretary of the Department of Financial Services emphasized that this portal will significantly improve citizen convenience and strengthen ongoing efforts to reconnect people with their legitimate financial assets.

This Common Landing Portal represents a crucial milestone in making the financial system more accessible, transparent, and citizen-centric. The initiative will not only raise public awareness but will also boost financial inclusion and reinforce trust in the banking system, driving the vision of a 'Viksit Bharat 2047' forward.
