नई दिल्ली: विभिन्न प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं में पेपर लीक के विरोध में चल रहे छात्र आंदोलन और केंद्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री के इस्तीफे की मांग के बीच, प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने गुरुवार (23 जुलाई) को अपनी पहली प्रतिक्रिया दी। प्रधानमंत्री ने पेपर लीक के मामलों में दोषियों को त्वरित और कठोर सजा दिलाने के लिए फास्ट-ट्रैक अदालतें स्थापित करने की घोषणा की।
सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म 'X' पर एक पोस्ट में प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि युवाओं का कल्याण और भविष्य सरकार की सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता है तथा परीक्षा प्रणाली से खिलवाड़ करने वाले किसी भी व्यक्ति को बख्शा नहीं जाएगा।
हालांकि, प्रधानमंत्री के इस बयान में जंतर-मंतर पर चल रहे विरोध प्रदर्शनों या शिक्षा मंत्री के इस्तीफे की मांग का कोई जिक्र नहीं था। राजनीतिक विश्लेषकों का मानना है कि फास्ट-ट्रैक अदालतों के नए वादे को छोड़कर, कठोर कार्रवाई और परीक्षा प्रणाली में सुधार का यह आश्वासन प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा पिछले कुछ वर्षों में संसद और चुनावी मंचों से कई बार दोहराया जा चुका है।

फरवरी 2024 (17वीं लोकसभा का अंतिम सत्र): संसद में 'लोक परीक्षा (अनुचित साधनों की रोकथाम) अधिनियम, 2024' पारित होने पर प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा था कि इस कानून से पेपर लीक के खिलाफ युवाओं में पनप रहे असंतोष को दूर करने में मदद मिलेगी।
दिसंबर 2024 (राजस्थान): राज्य सरकार के एक वर्ष पूरे होने के अवसर पर आयोजित रैली में प्रधानमंत्री ने पूर्ववर्ती सरकार के कार्यकाल में हुए पेपर लीक मामलों का जिक्र करते हुए कहा था कि उनकी सरकार दोषियों की जांच कर उन्हें गिरफ्तार कर रही है।
नवंबर एवं अक्टूबर 2023 (विधानसभा चुनाव प्रचार): राजस्थान में चुनावी रैलियों को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने युवाओं को आश्वस्त किया था कि पेपर लीक में शामिल लोगों को बख्शा नहीं जाएगा और राज्य से "पेपर माफिया" को समाप्त किया जाएगा।
In First Statement on Student Anger, PM Modi Repeats Paper Leak Promise Made Multiple Times in Recent Years
New Delhi: Amid ongoing student protests demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over repeated instances of paper leaks and examination irregularities, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued his first official response on Thursday (July 23). The Prime Minister announced the decision to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks.
In a post on social media platform X, PM Modi stated that the welfare and future of the youth remain the government's topmost priority, adding that anyone attempting to harm the future of students will not be spared.
However, the Prime Minister's statement made no reference to the protests taking place at Jantar Mantar, the demands for the Education Minister's resignation, or the alleged police action against protesting students. Political analysts note that while the decision to establish fast-track courts is new, similar vows regarding strict action and examination reforms have been made by the Prime Minister on multiple occasions over the past three years in Parliament and during election rallies.
July 2024 (Parliament Session): Addressing both Houses of Parliament during the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address amid the NEET and UGC-NET controversies, PM Modi assured that the government was taking strict measures against cheating and that a new law had been enacted.

October & November 2023 (Assembly Election Campaign): During campaign rallies in Rajasthan, the Prime Minister assured voters that strict action would be taken against those involved in paper leaks and that the "paper leak mafia" would be eliminated.
