New Delhi(courtesy pib): The National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) has issued a formal advisory urging all stakeholders, media organizations, and the general public to exercise responsibility and refrain from making defamatory, misleading, and unsubstantiated statements against Homoeopathy and registered homoeopathic practitioners.
Official Circular and Key Highlights
Dr. Tarkeshwar Jain, Chairperson of the NCH, informed that in line with its mandate to regulate and maintain standards of education, practice, and professional ethics, the Commission has issued a circular (F. No. 27/2026-NCH dated 08.06.2026) against irresponsible narratives targeting the profession.
Cognizance of Misinformation: The Commission has taken serious note of derogatory, defamatory, and unverified statements circulating across print, electronic, digital, and social media platforms, emphasizing the need for factual accuracy.
Legal and Regulatory Status: Dr. Jain highlighted that Homoeopathy is a legally recognized system of medicine under the National Commission for Homoeopathy Act, 2020. Furthermore, homoeopathic medicines are strictly regulated under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.

Call for Due Diligence and Legal Recourse
Verification Before Publication: The Commission has urged institutions, professional bodies, healthcare establishments, and individuals on social media to ensure factual verification before making public assertions regarding Homoeopathy.
Appropriate Grievance Redressal: The advisory states that any specific grievances against individual practitioners should be addressed through established statutory, regulatory, or judicial mechanisms rather than making generalized allegations against the entire profession.
Warning of Legal Action: Reaffirming its commitment to protecting the dignity and lawful standing of registered practitioners, the NCH stated that appropriate legal recourse may be initiated against deliberate attempts to spread baseless or defamatory statements.
नई दिल्ली: राष्ट्रीय होम्योपैथी आयोग (NCH) ने एक आधिकारिक परामर्श (Advisory) जारी कर सभी हितधारकों, मीडिया संगठनों और आम जनता से होम्योपैथी तथा पंजीकृत होम्योपैथिक चिकित्सकों के खिलाफ गैर-जिम्मेदाराना, मानहानिकारक और अप्रमाणित बयानबाजी से बचने का आग्रह किया है। आयोग ने सार्वजनिक चर्चाओं में जिम्मेदारी और तथ्यों की सत्यता बनाए रखने पर जोर दिया है।
आयोग का सर्कुलर और मुख्य दिशा-निर्देश
राष्ट्रीय होम्योपैथी आयोग के अध्यक्ष डॉ. तारकेश्वर जैन ने बताया कि शिक्षा, चिकित्सा अभ्यास, पेशेवर आचरण और नैतिकता के मानकों को बनाए रखने के अपने अधिकार का उपयोग करते हुए आयोग ने 8 जून 2026 को एक सर्कुलर (F. No. 27/2026-NCH) जारी किया है।
भ्रामक प्रचार पर चिंता: आयोग ने प्रिंट, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक, डिजिटल और सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म पर होम्योपैथी के खिलाफ फैलाए जा रहे अपमानजनक और असत्यापित बयानों का कड़ा संज्ञान लिया है।
कानूनी मान्यता: डॉ. जैन ने स्पष्ट किया कि होम्योपैथी, राष्ट्रीय होम्योपैथी आयोग अधिनियम 2020 के तहत एक कानूनी रूप से मान्यता प्राप्त चिकित्सा पद्धति है। इसके अलावा, होम्योपैथिक दवाएं औषधि और प्रसाधन सामग्री अधिनियम 1940 (Drugs and Cosmetics Act) के तहत विनियमित होती हैं।
शैक्षणिक योग्यता: देश में होम्योपैथी के स्नातक (UG) और स्नातकोत्तर (PG) पाठ्यक्रम आयोग द्वारा निर्धारित एक संरचित शैक्षणिक ढांचे के तहत संचालित होते हैं, जिनमें प्रवेश 'NEET' परीक्षा पास करने वाले उम्मीदवारों को ही दिया जाता है।
जिम्मेदार संचार और कानूनी कार्रवाई की चेतावनी
तथ्यों की जांच जरूरी: आयोग ने सभी संस्थानों, स्वास्थ्य प्रतिष्ठानों, मीडिया घरानों और सोशल मीडिया उपयोगकर्ताओं को सलाह दी है कि वे होम्योपैथी या इसके डॉक्टरों के बारे में कोई भी सार्वजनिक बयान देने से पहले तथ्यों की पूरी तरह जांच (Due diligence) कर लें।
शिकायत के लिए सही मंच का उपयोग: एडवाइजरी में कहा गया है कि यदि किसी व्यक्तिगत चिकित्सक के आचरण को लेकर कोई शिकायत या चिंता है, तो उसे पूरे पेशे पर सामान्यीकृत आरोप लगाने के बजाय स्थापित वैधानिक, नियामक या न्यायिक प्रणालियों के माध्यम से उठाया जाना चाहिए।
कानूनी कार्रवाई की चेतावनी: होम्योपैथी और पंजीकृत डॉक्टरों की गरिमा व कानूनी स्थिति की रक्षा के प्रति प्रतिबद्धता दोहराते हुए डॉ. जैन ने कहा कि जानबूझकर निराधार, भ्रामक या मानहानिकारक बयान फैलाने वालों के खिलाफ आवश्यकतानुसार कानूनी कार्रवाई सहित उचित कदम उठाए जा सकते हैं।
